Realised by the Japan Camera Industry Institute with the support of the Russia-Japan Society
Mayumi Moriyama, a prominent social and political figure in Japan, was born on 7 November 1927. She started her political career at the Ministry of Labour in 1950. Later Ms. Moriyama worked as a General Director for Environment in the Government of Japan. In 1992-1993 she was the Minister for Education of Japan and in 2001-2003 the Minister for Justice of Japan. Her political career lasted as long as 2009.
Presently, Mayumi Moriyama is the President of Japan Camera and Optical Instruments Inspection and Testing Institute, Director of the JCII Camera Museum, and Director of Japan Camera Industry Institute (JCII).
Travelling around the world, Mayumi Moriyama always takes her camera along.
The exhibition at ROSPHOTO embraces over a hundred of her photographs created between 1996 and 2010.
