Vladimir Antoschenkov

Vladimir Antoschenkov was born in 1933 in Leningrad. In 1957 he graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the Leningrad Institute of Civil Engineering.

Presently Antoschenkov is head of the Chair of Urban and Environmental Design at Saint Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering and is in charge of the University’s art studio.

During 2003-2006, twelve albums with Antoschenkov’s photographs were published, including Unserious Petersburg, Something about Petersburg, Unique Petersburg, Courtyards of Petersburg, as well as Poems and Photographs written in co-authorship with Olga Gutsol.

Antoschenkov held a number of solo exhibitions and participated in many group exhibitions in Russia and abroad. He has extensively collaborated with various periodicals.

Vladimir Antoschenkov holds a Ph.D. in Architecture. He is a member of the Russian Union of Art Photographers and has been awarded numerous prizes at art contests.
